Mirror Mirror ~ U C U ~

Introspection — what better way to start a week.

Question: When you hold a mirror up and look at yourself, what do you see?

God has taught me time and time again to look at myself. By removing my eyes from others, I began to grow. I was so accustomed to guarding myself against harm, that vigilance kept me away from even good people.

Not glaring at my abusers taught me that I had the power to seek healing. They had nothing in their arsenal that could help me. Control is lost when you find the ability to see yourself.

Yelling at the person next to you to help you is like being lost at sea without a life jacket. You won’t make it by asking the guy next to you to love you more, be kinder — give you full understanding. Whatever it is that you need, write about. Talk to God. Seek professional help. Take full responsibility for your path — your future.

God is listening. He wants you to find yourself.

You see you!

I have the courage to tell my story to help others embrace theirs.
