Jewels, Gems & Gunpowder

I would love to hear from you! Sharing Saturday with you.

Jewel: Pain was a constant in my childhood. I didn’t know life without it. It walked with me daily, grew stronger as the abuse continued, and mocked my rest at night through vivid dreams and grueling body aches. I’ve known pain longer than I have known any other emotion. It has been difficult leaving it behind.

Gem: Injustice is the thread that binds me to loss. I don’t truly know what justice looks like on earth. It reminds me often how much I’ve lost. I don’t know how justice is served this side of heaven but I continue to believe in it.

Metaphorical Gunpowder: Peace is the effervescent reward of walking with God.

Leave your jewel, a gem or something you kept yourself free from with metaphorical gunpowder. I would love it hear from you.

Happy Saturday!
