Jewels, Gems & Gunpowder

I would love to hear from you! Sharing Saturday with you.

Jewel: I have had to learn that I needed to stop waiting for someone to advocate for me. I had to learn to advocate for myself.

Gem: I am learning that it is not selfish to ask for what I need — even if that need is not understood by the person I am asking it of. I am trying to ask for my need anyway.

Metaphorical Gunpowder: I will not hold on to the need of pleasing people. I’ve lived most of my life with the needs of other people before the needs of myself. I am all done with that — well, I am trying. My needs matter. I am learning that other people cannot understand what I need without acknowledging what I need first.

You See You

I am learning what it really means to see myself. I am learning that it’s not that easy when I keep myself and my needs invisible.

Leave your jewel, a gem or something you kept yourself free from with metaphorical gunpowder. I would love it hear from you.

Happy Saturday!
