Folly

What makes a fool? It’s not a word we use often today but I do believe fools exist.

In scripture, “fool is often used for a wicked or depraved person; one who acts contrary to sound wisdom in his moral deportment; one who follows his own inclinations, who prefers trifling and temporary pleasures to the service of God and eternal happiness. The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. Ps. 14. 4.”

In today’s dictionaries a fool is: “a person who acts unwisely or imprudently; a silly person.”

A silly person?

How we water down the truths of God. Wicked and depraved is far from silly.

I do not want to be a fool. Foolery is really a tool for those that deceive, lie, cheat, steal.

I will search for wisdom and the walls wherein she lives.
