Stunned that an automobile accident could be considered more in conversation than a three-year-old child being raped.

Stunned that the loss of a house sale could be considered more than a teenager being impregnated by their father.

Stunned that folks look the other way when childhood tragedy is mentioned.

Stunned that having a knock-off designer bag called out would make a person cry.

Stunned that we do not look at the world of child abuse and scream at the top of our lungs to fix it.

To every single person that came through childhood crimes, I want to tell you I am so sorry. Your pain matters today as it should have mattered when it happened.

You do not just get over intense life experiences like those.

God sees our pain. From the moment it happens, He begins to pursue us — relentlessly trying to bring His love around us.

Let Him.

The majority of people in this world don’t have time for your pain — simply because they do not have time for their own.
