Waiting for justice for a crime you’ve witnessed or endured is a miserable kind of waiting because you don’t know what you’re waiting for. What will the outcome be? Will justice be served or will your hope be dashed to the ground while the perpetrator walks away, scot-free!
What will justice look like?
While I sit with the feeling of righteous injustice for the crimes against me, my children, and this murdered woman, I can have peace.
Peace is the road that I choose. It doesn’t mean that I am not unrestful at times. It doesn’t mean that my nightmares won’t come in the night hours. What it does mean, to me, is that God is with me. He is in the outcome. He has been watching over me from the very time of my inception.
God is our witness and holds justice in His hand. Of this I am sure.
I will not give my hope, my strength or my power to any event that occurred in my past.
God does turn graves into gardens.
"Graves Into Gardens" (feat. Brandon Lake) Elevation Worship I searched the world But it couldn't fill me Man's empty praise And treasures that fade Are never enough Then You came along And put me back together And every desire Is now satisfied Here in Your love (Hey) Oh, there's nothing better than You There's nothing better than You Lord, there's nothing Nothing is better than You (Oh, yes I know it's true) I'm not afraid To show You my weakness My failures and flaws Lord, You've seen 'em all And You still call me friend 'Cause the God of the mountain Is the God of the valley There's not a place Your mercy and grace Won't find me again Oh, there's nothing better than You There's nothing better than You Lord, there's nothing Nothing is better than You (I know it's true)
