Not spending my time going back to the people who hurt me, I have a lot more time for myself and my family. What can they bring to me other than an apology? What you find most with people who live in denial are cross words.
Staying around people who want to explore tomorrow sounds much more appealing. My focus is not my past, but my future.
Oh, for sure, I’ve had to go to my past to bring the remnants of my charred body out, but I’m all done with that now — except for the occasional traumatic dream or a trigger around safety, my focus is my future.
Therein lies my destiny.
The only cross words I want with me in 2022 are the words associated with a puzzle.
