I would love to hear from you! Sharing Saturday with you.
Jewel: I have trusted God to give me what I’ve needed to survive and make it out of a tragic, incestuous past. He has been gracious and I received the most amazing children you could ever ask for. Then, I was blessed with grandbabies – the kind of children I cry when we part because they’re amazing.
They are the reason I do everything I do. First for them, and then the overflow can be given back to God to do with as He sees fit.
Gem: King David wrote the Psalms. It’s a book in the bible. Within five verses David moves from spiritual despair to hope, from gut-wrenching, internal wrestlings to complete trust and from deep sorrow to rejoicing.
What causes the dramatic turnabouts David shared?
David knew how to express feelings and faith simultaneously. I want to follow his example.
Psalm 13
psalms 13: 1-5
Metaphorical Gunpowder: Wherever you find yourself today, make an effort to bring God with you. He’s with you at all times. Do not believe that you must be good before you can pray to Him. Take Him with you if you overdrink. Talk to Him if you’ve just binged and purged. If you find yourself in a drug binge, call out to Him.
It’s in these places that we truly find Him. He doesn’t need you to be good, He needs you to be willing to need Him.

Leave a one line jewel, a one line gem or something you kept yourself free from with metaphorical gunpowder.
Happy Saturday!
