A Throbbing Heart

The ache of pain held in a heart unhealed,

Territory unknown to others.

Secrets abound and the devil plays boldly,

When etched in pain we have no brothers.

God grant us the wisdom to see

what is misguiding us.

A book, a dream, a fairytale,

can lead us down a road of fuss.

How does a broken heart heal,

or a torn reed stand tall again?

I will search for them Father,

those that cannot mend.

They need you now

and they’ll need you again.
