Jewels, Gems & Gunpowder

I would love to hear from you! Sharing Saturday with you.

Jewel: I have been so lifted up this week looking at the beautiful family I have around me and sharing time with them, hearing their hearts and breathing in their love. Sometimes we focus on what we’ve lost in the fight to gain our freedom: aunts, uncles, mothers, brothers – a lot of relationship leaves when you decide to tell the truth.

What I was impressed by this week is how much family I have left! My beautiful daughters, a loving husband, and grandchildren a ‘plenty.

It’s all about where you put your focus. Will you focus on what you’ve lost or will you focus on what is left and all that you have? That’s the question.

Gem: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27

Living love! That is the example of the bible. To give back to those who have been maligned and are in need. Oh, and to stay away from the pollution of the world. I’m so excited about that part! I’m happy to step away from that pollution, although sometimes I find myself admiring a connection to it.

Metaphorical Gunpowder: Fear is the essence of the unseen. Fear usually never has the power we give it. I take back my strength even more this week as again I was faced with fear.

Fear of telling my story. Fear of working towards bringing up the deceased woman’s body.

I told fear to shut it’s ugly mouth. I’m not giving up yet!

Leave your jewel, a gem or something you kept yourself free from with metaphorical gunpowder.

You see You (U C U) today!

I have the courage to tell my story to help others embrace theirs.
