I had a ghastly beginning. I can’t know why and I just don’t ask that question any longer.
The English poet Alexander Pope wrote, “Hope springs eternal in the human breast: Man never is, but always to be blest.”
My sights are on eternity.
How to get there and where I’m going is easy, that isn’t my focus. How to bring eternity along with me here is my goal. We are living eternity right now. When we close our earthly eyes they open to a spiritual realty that shows us eternity from a new perspective.
From God’s looking glass, what does hope look like?
Pretty dog gone good.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
jeremiah 29:11
A future! Plans to prosper!
The eternal perspective that allows me to see beyond here. Yep, I have experienced a lot at the hands of human beings making poor choices, that’s true. Sometimes I couldn’t see a future for myself – death seemed better.
My plan is to experience now, through my choice, to accept what God has prepared for me while I’m living eternity here on earth.
That’s where I’m placing my focus! I’m not going to focus on the dust in the dead valleys behind me.

Jeremiah 29:11 is my favorite Bible verse. It speaks volumes of God’s love, faithfulness and goodness toward us.
It completely represents His beautiful nature! Hugs!
