Should we call pedophiles survivors? We could. More child molesters go free than those who’re convicted. Most outlive any answerability to their crimes, lies and destruction. Seldom are they held accountable for any of their actions.
But, that isn’t surviving. They live their lives in full masquerade.
A true survivor learns to tell their story. Out loud. Unashamed and in full control of the ownership of their destiny. That is the making of a survivor.
Hate has no place at a survivor’s table. Lies must be left at the door before you enter a survivor’s house. Peace is their strongest comfort.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard a story where a pedophile held full accountability for their actions. In cowardice, they hide. That is not surviving.
I do not believe that my abusers hold any power that I don’t possess. Their ill-affected words do nothing but block their ability to live. They are imprisoned by the false walls and pretenses they build around their narrow lives.
Do not stay by them long enough to believe their lies.
Get down the road – far are enough away that when they cast their deceitful nets (and they will) it can no longer entangle you. They hold no power that you do not possess yourself.
You know what I believe a true survivor is? Those that find the ability to stand firmly in the truth. Not wavering in what their memories recall and listening steadfastly to what their bodies are telling them. Our story lives with us. Our mouth is what sets us free.
A true survivor loves. A true survivor lives.

I love your life story Jodie. I don’t love that you lived such trauma, but love that Your truth is allowing others to heal. Honestly, your countenance just radiates what the Lord can do when you cling to him for healing. It’s evident in you that, “Greater is He that is in you, than he who is in the world” 1 in 4-4
Thank you, Jennie. Indeed He is greater. And clinging to Him has and is key. Loves
It takes courage and faith to share your story, Jodie. It’s heartbreaking what you have been through but. praise God, you are a survivor.
Thank you! And, the goal is to make many many more!
You’re welcome and good for you!
Amen! You are. Correct
